EAGLE JUNIOR Brady Koehler gets elevated for this easy in.
In the final seconds of Johnson- Brock’s home stand against Freeman, the Eagles were down three points with the ball. After a timeout from Coach Garrison Dodge, most knew that the ball would be in the hands of senior Brody Koehler for the final shot, but despite a Freeman defender draped over Koehler to prevent the shot, the senior swished the game-tying shot, sending the game to overtime.
The Eagles came out slow on Thursday, giving up the first eight points to the Falcons and trailing by 12 after the first quarter, but the Eagle defense would tighten up, holding Freeman to five points in the period. Johnson-Brock would go on an offensive run in the second as well, including a pair of threes by junior Justin Meyer to give the Eagles their first lead of the night at 23-20. Robert Gravatt had six of his 12 points in the second as well.
