Four Lady Eagles Score Double-Figures to Take Down Irish in Overtime

Less than two weeks after falling to Falls City Sacred Heart in the MUDECAS A division third place game, the Johnson-Brock girls basketball team went into Falls City to knock off the Irish by a score of 51-49 in overtime.

Kasie Knippelmeyer, Daley Pelican, Kinley Vice, and Josie Stutheit each finished with double- figures in scoring to lead the Lady Eagles to the overtime win. Johnson-Brock trialed by seven after the first quarter, but outscored the Irish through the next two periods to hold a four point lead at the start of the fourth quarter.

That lead would be important as Sacred Heart outscored the Lady Eagles by four in the fourth quarter, sending the game into overtime, where Johnson-Brock held the Irish to just one free throw to win by two.
