Addison Darnell signed a national letter of intent this week to compete in track and field at the University of South Dakota, continuing a decorated high school career as one of the area’s top hurdlers.

Darnell will compete in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles for the Coyotes. She said the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level is one she has been working toward for years.

“I’m super excited for the opportunity at the next level,” Darnell said. “I just can’t wait.”
