The Sterling Lady Jets soared with a 52-24 victory over the Lady Patriots from Parkview Christian in a basketball game played on the road at Parkview Christian on Thursday, January 22.
“Coming into the game, we thought we would be the better team. We thought that we could press them and force some turnovers. Maybe jump out to an early lead. All of that ended up being true. In fact, being able to execute our opening tip play and take a lead just seconds into the game was a great way to start. Then, with some turnovers and buckets from there. Some nice jump shots. We were able to take control and never really look back,” said Josh Pfeiffer, head girls basketball coach for the Lady Jets.
“We felt like we had the opportunity to dominate them. We feel like we did that for the most part. We forced some turnovers, shot the ball pretty well. Beat them on the glass. Probably my biggest gripe is the fact that we threw the ball around a little too freely sometimes. I think that we had more turnovers than we are going to want to accept from ourselves against a lot of other teams,” said Coach Pfeiffer.
