The Johnson County Central Thunderbirds blasted the Weeping Water Indians 76-25 in a basketball game played on JCC's home court, January 20.
The Thunderbirds jumped out of the starting gate on fire as they pumped 25 and 23 points on the board in the first and second quarters respectively to gain a 48-8 spread at halftime. Although JCC's scoring tapered off in the second half, the Thunderbirds still added another 28 points to blitz the Weeping Water Indians 76-25 as the game ended.
Wes Swanson totaled 20 points for the Thunderbirds. Regan Thies also had an outstanding night on the boards as 12 of his 18 points were scored from the three point range. AJ Rautenbach contributed 12 points in this game. Four players, Jack Waring, Diego Martinez, Ayden Cannon and Trey Lubben contributed five points apiece. Wyatt Case, Gabe Bernadt and Cooper Jones each scored two points.
