Eagles Surrender Fourth Quarter Lead to Tri County in MUDECAS Final
JOHNSON BROCK Senior, Grady Behrends (20) goes up for a shot in their match with Tri County.

Once again, the Johnson-Brock basketball team had an opportunity to win the boys A division bracket of the MUDECAS tournament in Beatrice last week. The Eagles earned their second win over Palmyra to start the tournament with a 33-point blowout before advancing to the final with a 59-52 win over Exeter-Milligan/ Friend.

The Eagles were in position to claim another MUDECAS title late in the final against Tri County, but the Trojans had a late push that put them over the Eagles by a score of 53-51.

Koehler led Johnson-Brock through the tournament, scoring 19 points against Palmyra in the first round and 14 against EMF, leading Johnson-Brock in scoring both times. The senior again put up 14 points against Tri County, but it was Senior Hayden Gravatt, who led the Eagles in the final with 17 points including a bucket in the final seconds of the second quarter to give the Eagles a lead going into halftime.
