Auburn’s TeamMates and Knights of Columbus partnered once again to bring a fundraiser to the Auburn High School basketball games on Friday, January 9. As they had last year, a Chuck-a-Duck contest was held during halftime of the boys game, and Casey’s pizza was served by the KoC throughout both games.
Proceeds from both the pizza sales and the Chuck-a-Duck will go towards the AHS TeamMates program and, while the crowd was not quite as large as it had been the year prior, there was still a good turnout and many ducks chucked. The grand prize, a whopping $100, was won by Jack Bebb. The prize itself was donated by River Valley Memorials.
It was also mentioned that though there aren’t anymore major fundraisers planned, Auburn’s TeamMates plans to host a game night for mentors and mentees sometime in the next couple of months. Keep your eyes open next year if you want to try your luck chucking ducks during the AHS basketball games!
Good Turnout for TeamMates Chuck-a-Duck Event
