The JCC Lady Thunderbirds clipped the Auburn Lady Bulldogs 42-29 in a game played at the Auburn gymnasium on January 6.
The Lady Thunderbirds gained a 16-9 advantage in the first quarter. Although scoring tapered off in the second quarter, the JCC girls still controlled a 22-14 lead at the end of the first half.
JCC continued to shoot well in the third quarter, edging the Lady Bulldogs 9 to 7 for a 31-21 stretch in scoring. In the fourth quarter, the JCC girls added another 11 points to their score while holding Auburn to eight points. The Lady Thunderbirds were out in front 42-29 as the game ended.
