Anglers Kayak Show New Feature of Jan. 31 Sportsman’s Expo

It’s just the start of 2026, but many of us will be thinking about engaging in outdoor activities as the year progresses.
Saturday, Jan. 31, the third annual Kayakjak’s Outfitters Sportsman’s Expo will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The location remains the Auburn Christian Church Family Life Center at 1407 Courthouse Ave. There is plenty of parking in the area.
New in 2026 will be an anglers kayak show. There will be multiple presentations on outdoor topics. The schedule is as follows:
--9:30 a.m. Stan Liberty, catfishing, he presented in 2025.
--10:30 a.m. Kyle Harris, trapping.
--11:30 a.m., Marty Hughes and Logan Greeno, Everything Neko.
--1 p.m., Dean Theilan of DAB Guide Service, Everything Panfish. DAB is a fishing guide service that offers fully guided fishing trips for Omaha and eastern Nebraska area lakes.
--2 p.m., Hughes, Chung Pham and Andy Moore will have a kayak fishing panel discussion Top 3 Angler of the Year of the Sticks--Nebraska Kayak Anglers.
At a time to be announced, Jonathan Dominquez from Eco Fishing Shop will have a kayak build demonstration.
The day will have representatives from numerous outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, kayak and fitness. There will be a chili cookoff. Auburn High School Future Business Leaders of America will handle concessions. There will be a lot of prizes and drawings.
Hughes noted proceeds from the day will support all of Kayakjak’s Outfitters events, especially those for area youth.
