“It’s a wonderful opportunity to be able to showcase our talents in healthcare in the community,” said Heidi Leners, new director of the Johnson County Hospital Foundation.
As the Johnson County Hospital’s Foundation Director, Leners’ main duties are fundraising efforts for the advancement of technology at the Johnson County Hospital. As part of this role, Leners will be scheduling upcoming fundraising events on behalf of the Johnson County Hospital Foundation. Leners is looking forward to teaming up with small businesses for the future purchase of a new MRI machine at the Johnson County Hospital, which is expected to cost $1.39 million.
To kick off fundraising efforts for the new MRI machine in 2026, the Foundation is planning to have “The Farmer’s Daughter,” a mobile coffee and flower trailer, on February 9th from 7:30 to 11 a.m. at the hospital in Tecumseh. This event will be open to the public, and a percentage of the proceeds will go to the MRI.
