The Johnson-Brock Girls Basketball team opened their holiday tournament with a 47-33 win over the Sabetha Bluejays, but dropped their second game to Nemaha Central by a score of 50-45. The Lady Eagles would quickly improve to 6-4 on the season with a January 3 win over JCC by three points.
Sophomore Lauren Behrends scored 15 points against Sabetha to lead the Lady Eagles to a win on December 30 over Sabetha. Sophomore Kasie Knippelmeyer added 11 points to the win as well.
Johnson-Brock knocked down nine three pointers in the win and scored 24 points in the first half to lead by 16 by halftime and ultimately earn the 47-33 victory.
