The year 2025 ended with a crash in Auburn.
In the early morning hours of Dec. 30, a northbound semitruck traveling on Highway 75 collided with a building at 923 Central Ave.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol, troopers responded at approximately 1:17 a.m. to a crash near the intersection of Highway 75 and Highway 136. Investigators determined the driver had fallen asleep while operating a red semi-truck and veered off the roadway. The semi first struck an unoccupied Ford Explorer before crashing into a brick building.
