THE NEBRASKA ASSOCIATION of County Officials (NACO) recently awarded Johnson County Clerk Kathleen Nieveen, right, with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Presenting the award was NACO Past President Diana Hurlburt of Garfield County.

The Johnson County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that Johnson County Clerk Kathleen Nieveen was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Nebraska Association of County Officials 2025 Annual Conference.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to a county official who has dedicated 25 years or more of service to their communities and who have been consistently involved in NACO. The award honors individuals whose careers reflect unwavering commitment to public service, exceptional leadership, and an investment in NACO’s mission.

“Kathy has diligently served the people of Johnson County throughout her long and illustrious career,” said Jon Cannon, NACO’s Executive Director. “County government is at its best when sure and steady public servants like Kathy help keep the courthouse running smoothly. NACO is honored to recognize her exceptional term of office.”
