A celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Johnson-Brock Lady Eagles’ only girls basketball state championship is scheduled Saturday afternoon, Jan. 10.
It will be at about 2 p.m. between the Johnson-Brock girls and boys varsity games with Weeping Water. The 1986 Lady Eagles were 25-1 capturing the Class C-2 title. In the state tournament, Johnson-Brock won 69-38 over Grant, 46-30 over Humphrey and 34-27 over Wausa.
