2026 water rates were approved Wednesday, Dec. 17 by the Auburn Board of Public Works (BPW).
Effective Thursday, Jan. 1, urban residential water rates will increase $8.18 monthly. 2025 and 2026 rates are as follows: Urban residential, 2025: Per 1,000 gallons used monthly, $5.29. Meter size: no meter, $16.31; 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4”, $21.69; 1 and 1-1/4”, $28.89 and 1-1/2, $49.16.
Urban residential, 2026: Per 1,000 gallons used monthly, $5.56. Meter size: no meter, $23.11; 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4”, $30.75; 1 and 1-1/4”, $40.95 and 1-1/2, $69.69.
