Auburn’s run at the Class B State Unified Bowling Tournament came to an early end Monday, Dec. 8, at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln.
The Bulldogs battled Wayne in the opening round but fell just short in a tightly contested 3–2 loss, ending their state hopes in the first round. Elsewhere on the lanes, York rolled past Wahoo 3–0, Seward knocked off Ogallala 3–1, and Alliance cruised to a 3–0 win over Humphrey.
In the semifinals, York continued its strong showing with a 3–1 victory over Seward, while Alliance swept Wayne 3–0 to advance to the title match.
York capped the day with a dominant performance in the championship, defeating Alliance 3–0 to claim the title.
