Sterling Students Compete in Norfolk
THE STERLING ONE-ACT PLAY, “Why Do We Laugh?”, performed at the Class D2-1 State Competition in the Johnny Carson Theater in Norfolk, placing 5th in their class. Six of the eight actors earned Outstanding Performance Awards and are denoted with an asterisk (*), from the left: *Trevor Pella, *Jubilee Matkins, *Ellen Winter, Chloe Smith, *Gideon Matkins, Carson Podtburg, *Joie Janssen, *David Roecker. Director Kendra Matkins and the Sterling One-Act cast and crew were voted a commendation from the school board for their 5th-place finish at state.
