JCC One-Act Competes at ECNC, Auburn Triangular

Students at Johnson County Central High School, as well as other area high schools, have been busy with one-act rehearsals, competitions and public performances.
Their 2025 production is Citizen’s Arrest by Bobby Keniston.
“The cast and crew have been working hard this season and they are very talented both on stage and behind the scenes. We placed sixth at our (East Central Nebraska Conference) competition and had a couple of performances for the public at our school. At the Auburn triangular, we had five actors receive accolades for their performance: Trevin Huskey, Molly Weber, Levi Othmer, Charlyn Bobadilla and Wyatt Case. Charlyn also received an award for Best Supporting Actress. Wyatt also earned a Best Minor Role,” noted Matt Dierking, director. He is assisted by Amy Little, assistant director and Freedom Steele, assistant tech director.
Also in the cast are: Saige Rother, Jack Waring, Harrison Bacon, Adree Case, Catherine Wendt, Madison VanLaningham, Kael Fricke, Cameron Werner, Zeke Burki, Ashley Beethe, Stefani Peters, Tegan Topp, Angel Buchanan, Heidi Reyes and Payton Brandt.
Crew members are: Riley Wellensiek, Amelia Britt, Kenna Thomas, Prestin Thomas and Jesus Hurtado, Harley Reyes and Hadley Hartman, and Wes Swanson, Owen Weber, William Rademacher, Aiden Stecker, Ashton Huskey and Conner Gerking.
Wednesday, Dec. 3, the cast and crew competed in District C1-1 at Centennial High School in Utica.
