In 1995, the Auburn Presbyterian Church launched a holiday tradition that has since brought thousands of people fun, joy and a renewed sense of faith.

This weekend, a dedicated group of about 20 congregation members called Lost and Found Creative Ministry will present “Pastor Mike and the Christmas Moon,” a free production open to the public. Tickets must be reserved in advance.

The story offers a peek behind the scenes of a Christmas Eve service where everything seems to go wrong for Pastor Mike. Convinced there must be a full moon behind the chaos, he’s thrown further off course until a surprise guest appears — and the church is transformed.
