An Auburn staple, Arbor Manor Steakhouse and Motel, will transition to new ownership in early December under the leadership of Jennifer Thompson, Jackie Caudillo and Melody Vaccaro. The trio, longtime friends with diverse professional backgrounds, say they are committed to preserving the legacy built by previous owners Rick and Amy Clark and their family.
Thompson, a dental hygienist and real estate investor, has been active in helping individuals achieve homeownership. Her sister, Vaccaro, is a longtime technologist in real estate data and serves as president of the board at Bluestem Montessori School in Lincoln. Caudillo, who met Thompson more than 20 years ago in dental hygiene school, owns The Big O Sno, a shaved ice food truck known for its variety of flavors.
The women said their decades-long friendship strengthened through raising families, leading Girl Scout troops and supporting each other’s careers — shapes their hands-on approach to the business.
