Johnson County Central's volleyball squad set a milestone record that the Lady Thunderbirds players and fans can be proud of by finishing the 2025 season at 31-1.
The Lady Thunderbirds broke several individual records this season: Ashley Beethe totaled 37 kills in one match, which occurred in the first round of the state volleyball tournament. For the season, Beethe totaled 570 kills. During her high school career from 2022 to 2025, Beethe slammed down 1,751 kills and retrieved 1,059 digs.
Riley Wellensiek tallied 928 assists during the 2025 volleyball season.
