JCC’s Unified Bowling Season Starts

Johnson County Central’s Unified Bowling team opened its 2025 season Oct. 30 at the Wilber-Clatonia Invitational, with another meet on Nov. 3. Head Coach Maggie Rother said the team is focused on fun, teamwork, and growth. “Unified Bowling is such a cool event—it gives students a chance to compete and connect outside the classroom,” she said. “Our season is fast and furious, but we hope to improve every meet.”

This year’s 10-member roster includes Aurora Stephens, Theresa Doiel, Mario Lara Jr., Sylus Desmond, Annamarie Russell, Heidi Reyes, Tylynn Wellensiek, Anthony Brooks, Aiden Strecker, and Nancy Duarte. The athletes are split into two teams for competition.

Upcoming matches include the Syracuse Invite on Nov. 11, ECNC Tournament on Nov. 17, JCC Invitational on Nov. 20, and Auburn Tournament on Nov. 24. District details are still to be announced.
