The Lady Eagles came up short in a five-set battle with Nebraska Christian in the Subdistrict C2-2 Tournament at Freeman on Monday, October 27.
Daley Pelican had a teamhigh 11 kills, followed closely by Charlotte Metshke and Kasie Knippelmeyer with four kills each in the game. Hannah Groth added eight kills to Johnson- Brock’s attack.
The Eagles came out slow, dropping the first set at 25-16, but tied the game at one set apiece with a 25-20 win in set two. The Lady Eagles would build off the momentum to take the third set by a score of 25-18, putting themselves one set win away from the subdistrict final.
