Breeling Served in Vietnam from 1971-1972
After completing basic training in South Carolina, Breeling (second in from the left In the back row) received orders to go to Vietnam.

Bob Breeling of Cook, who was voted in as Commander of Tecumseh American Legion Post 2 in July, doesn’t talk much about his military service during Vietnam.

“It brings back too much stuff that I worked hard to get out of my mind,” he explained.

And, though he never saw himself as the commander of an American Legion Post, he has dedicated himself to doing the job well. He is part of the Honor Guard that assembles when a soldier or veteran passes, on the Avenue of Flags Committee, and he was involved in Legion activities at the county fair. He also supports the American Legion Baseball program, selling tickets or helping prepare the field for games.
