AHS Presents That’s Not How I Remember It Nov. 7-8 at Central Office
SLIGHTLY MORE than two dozen Auburn High School students have been preparing That’s Not How I Remember It since early in the fall. Competition season begins Saturday, Nov. 1 at Schuyler, with public performances Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7 and 8 in the Central Office auditorium.

Author: David Swanson

Public performances are scheduled Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 and 7 p.m. All will be at the Auburn Public Schools (APS) Central Office auditorium at 1713 J St. in Auburn. Admission will be $8 adults and $5 students.
In this production, Mom and Dad love to tell the story of how they met in 1986--“pretty much the most awesome year ever.” Trouble is, they remember their courtship completely differently. Mom’s version makes their meeting sound like a sappy romantic comedy while Dad somehow makes himself the star of a karate battle. This one-act play is a crazy homage to bad 1980s movies and the inadequacies of memory.  It is a high-energy, comedic performance with lots of great music!
Cast (in order of appearance): Gillian Hanna as Mom, Beau Thomas as Dad, Kyle Jones as Barry, Addison Fankhauser as Lola, Hailey Janssen as Thug 1 and 3, Ashlynn Johnson as Thug 2, Jocelyn Greedy as Thug 4, Alexa Janssen as Karl, Jack Hayes as Yann (Finland), Kinsley Gerdes as Tricia, Gretchen Paschal as Melissa, Ella Ackley as Jessica, Lily Harrah as Lola’s Mom, Ian Mather as Lola’s Dad, Gavin Moyer as Yann 2 (India), Marc Bohling as Waiter, Leah Tucker as Keymaster, Gianna Johnson as Partygoer 1 and 2, Bella Oden as Nurse 1, Laurynn Fankhauser as Nurse 2, Riley Dickerson as Jim and Shelby Burbee as Ensemble.
