Two Auburn High School senior student-musicians have been selected to the Nebraska Music Educators Association (NMEA) All-State ensembles.
Jack Hayes, bass clarinet, will play in the 2025 NMEA All-State Band. Addison Fankhauser, Soprano 2,will sing in the 2025 NMEA All-State Choir.
All-State will be Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 20 through 22 in Lincoln. Final concerts will be at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts, 301 N. 12th St., Nov. 22. The choral concert is at 4:30 p.m. The band concert is at 7:30 p.m.
The All-State Band will be conducted by Col. Don Schofield, who is the commanding officer of the United States Air Force Band. The All-State Choir will be conducted by Dr. Pearl Shangkuan who is president-elect of the American Choral Directors Association.
