Gravatt Rushes for Six Touchdowns in Eagle Playoff Win

Six of Johnson-Brock’s eight scored touchdowns Thursday night came on rushes by senior running back Hayden Gravatt. With the season on the line, Coach Mitchell Engelken went to Gravatt 25 times, in which the senior averaged almost seven yards a carry for a total of 171 rushing yards. The Eagles rushed for nearly 300 yards as a unit with quarterback Ben Parriott and quarterback Wyatt Fulton accounted for another 103 combined rushing yards.

Johnson-Brock’s dual-threat offense was in full effect as they also tallied 259 yards and one touchdown through the air. Senior Brody Koehler even had a reception for 24 yards.

Though they allowed two Irish scores in each of the first two quarters, the Eagle offense stayed one step ahead, scoring 42 points in the first half to lead by 18 points at halftime. Johnson-Brock put the game out of reach with a 15-0 third quarter, leading to a 57-30 playoff win in Johnson.
