The Sterling Jets traveled to Lewiston to take on the Tigers in a 3 p.m. football game on Friday, October 24. It was a seesaw scoring battle between the two teams in the first half. Then Lewiston made two successful drives down the field to win the game 40-26 and advance to the Class D6 State Football Playoffs.
The Jets scored early in the second quarter as quarterback Brody Horstman connected a 28 yard pass to Bryce Goracke in the endzone for a TD. The extra point kick failed.
Sterling’s next touchdown happened late in the second quarter when Horstman threw a 24 yard pass to Colt Little for the TD.
