Eagles Defense Smothers Raider Runs for Homecoming Shutout
JOHNSON-BROCK HOMECOMING ROYALTY was crowned following the Eagles victory on Friday, September 12. Johnson-Brock put up 471 yards of offense on their way to a 66-0 route of Southern on Friday night for their second straight win. The Eagle defense allowed only 109 yards of offense to the Raiders, including only 21 rushing yards.

Four individual Eagle ball-carriers rushed for more yards than the entire Southern team, including senior Hayden Gravatt who racked up 180 rushing yards and three touchdowns, averaging 18 yards per carry. Coy Behrends, Ben Parriott, and Will Day combined for 118 more rushing yards as the Eagles totaled 320 rushing yards.

Behrends and starting quarterback Wyatt Fulton went a combined 7 of 9 passing and four touchdowns. Behrends had three of the four passing touchdowns with 132 yards passing. His top receiver was Brody Koehler with 85 yards on three catches, two of which were for touchdowns. Grady Behrends also hauled in a 31-yard touchdown pass.
