“We have to make nature a part of discussion if we hope to save it,” Joel Sartore related Thursday night, Sept. 4, at Peru State College.
The regular contributor to National Geographic magazine entertained and persuaded a large turnout at the college’s Performing Arts Center. He recalled one previous visit to Peru.
Sartore noted the No. 1 question he is asked is “have you ever come close to getting killed on an assignment” as well as “did you ever get chased by a grizzly or polar bear.”
