The Johnson County Central Thunderbirds faced the Tri County Trojans on their home field on Friday, August 29. Although the game proved to be a defensive battle at times, the T-Birds flew away with a 52-12 victory. Key scorers were Jack Waring, Danny Kongmanyvong, and Cooper Jones.
The Thunderbirds rushed 177 yards on 32 carries. Danny Kongmanyvong was the leading rusher as he gained 104 yards on 123 carries and secured two two touchdowns. Cooper Jones rushed 53 yards on 11 carries. Wes Swanson added 17 yards on six carries.
JCC’s Quarterback Wes Swanson threw six of 10 passes for 115 yards. .Jack Waring received three passes for 60 yards and he also accomplished three touchdowns for the night. AJ Rautenbach caught three passes for 50 yards.
