Balanced Eagle Offense Can't Keep Place With Top Team in D1

The Eagle football team was given no easy lead in to the 2025 season, opening against the D1 top rated team in Sandy Creek Friday night in Johnson. Johnson-Brock hung with the top team in D1 early on, but after three quarters of football, the Eagles were defeated by a score of 56-26, starting the season on a loss. The Cougar offense was rolling in week one, racking up 326 yards in the running game and 191 more through the air. Johnson-Brock was even in their running and passing offense, tallying 101 yards in both for the night.

Quarterback Wyatt Fulton completed 10 of his 16 passes including three touchdowns with the targets spread out between five Eagle receivers. Senior Brody Koehler led the team with three catches for 36 yards and two touchdowns. Hayden Gravatt scored the only rushing touchdown for Johnson-Brock, totaling 71 rushing yards on 15 carries.

Fulton added 21 yards on nine carries.
