“I appreciate being asked to do this,” said Mike Stauffer, a native of Tecumseh who currently serves as a recruiting scout for the Philadelphia Phillies major league baseball team. He was the guest speaker for Monday Night at the Museum at the Johnson County Historical Society Museum in Tecumseh on August 18.
“I’ve been blessed my whole life,” said Mike.
Mike’s father, Jim Stauffer, shared the story of how Mike didn’t want to play baseball at six years old. But Jim kept encouraging him and, since that time, Mike hasn’t left the baseball field yet.
