The 2025-2026 Auburn Public Schools (APS) staff includes six newcomers.
A 17-year Auburn resident, April Dickerson will teach sixth through 12th grade Life Skills and the 18 to 21 years of age program. She will also be a coach with Unified Bowling.
Having her two oldest children graduate from Auburn High School (AHS) and serving as a paraprofessional at Calvert Elementary and Auburn Middle School and AHS attracted Dickerson to the district as well as the opportunity opening up to join the teaching staff. She taught Life Skills nine years at Nebraska City Public Schools.
