Tushla Field in Auburn will be the home of the Class B Legion Seniors Baseball Tournament with the First National Bank of Johnson Seniors as the host team.
Auburn proved they belonged amongst the state tournament teams with an opening round win over Chadron by a score of 6-1 on Saturday, August 2. Auburn lost in the second round to West Point on Sunday, suffering their first loss in the double-elimination tournament.
As of the end of the weekend, Auburn is one of six teams remaining and had a Monday, August 4 elimination game against Springfield. Recaps of the rest of the Class B State Tournament can be found in the August 14 edition of the Nemaha Valley Observer.
