Super Suds Car Wash Under New Ownership

Super Suds Car Wash Under New Ownership

On March 31, Rich Wilson sold his three Super Suds car washes to Wash Investors, LLC, headed by Drew Strohmeyer from Omaha. One of those facilities operates in Auburn. Wilson offered some insight to his side of the business for the time that he owned them.

Wilson started his electrician business, Wilson Electric, in 1988. Then, in 1996, he was in a plane crash, and injuries limited the use of his legs. The following year he built the first Super Suds car wash and, in 1998, started another in Nebraska City. “I had really good guys I could call on to help if something needed fixing,” Wilson explained, “It was a 24/7, 365 type of job.” That workload grew again in 2008 as Wilson started another car wash in Plattsmouth, and yet another was opened up in Red Oak, Iowa in 2020. Wilson’s son, Brett, took over for his father at Wilson Electric in 2017. “He does a better job at it anyway,” Rich offered. Along with the car washes, Rich owns and manages an RV park and a home farm, and eventually decided to pass the car wash reigns on to someone new. “I want to thank all the good Auburn customers we’ve served throughout the years, and I hope the new owners do well!”
