Nebraska Farmers Union (NeFU) has been the leading rural advocate for renewable energy development, John Hansen, president, related in Auburn Tuesday night, July 15.
Hansen continued the organization has participated in more than 600 community forums on the topic over the last 20 years. NeFU has also worked with the Legislature on renewable issues, he stated. The union’s leader called renewable energy a statewide tool to harness new economic opportunities.
NeFU’s Top Reasons To Support Harvesting Renewable Energy Wind and solar energy are agricultural activities, Hansen noted.
