First National Bank of Johnson Seniors See Early Exit From Area Tournament; Will Host Class B State Tournament August 2-7

The Auburn Seniors baseball team couldn’t keep pace with their two opponents in the Legion Seniors Class B Area 1 Tournament at Nebraska City over the weekend.

The First National Bank of Johnson Seniors earned the #4 seed in the tournament and faced #5 Syracuse in the opening round, falling by a score of 5-2. After a bye in the losers’ bracket, Auburn was eliminated from the tournament after suffering a 13-5 loss to Plattsmouth.

Plattsmouth and Syracuse are among the four teams remaining in the tournament along with #2 Lincoln Christian and #1 Hickman.
