Totus Tuus summer catechism was held at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tecumseh July 7-11 with approximately 40 kids participating. Teachers included Bede Fulton of Lincoln, Jaden Wilsey of Ashland, Karter Kinkaid of Malcolm, and Mary Emmerick of Kearney. These four teachers are teaching for a total of six weeks at six different parishes.
“I love being able to spread the love of Jesus Christ to the youth of the Lincoln diocese,” said Bede Fulton.
Fulton said he became a volunteer for the 2025 Totus Tuus program because the seminarians at St. Gregory the Great Seminary in Seward, are required to work a summer job. “One of the options was Totus Tuus and I had heard good things about the program from some of my college friends. I decided to give a try.” The theme this year is the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary and the sacraments. “I think it’s important for the youth to gain a strong catechetical foundation with topics such as the sacraments so that they’re better equipped to make the Catholic faith a bigger part of their lives as they grow older. I love to be a part in that journey,” said Fulton.
