Another business in Auburn saw a change of hands in recent weeks. Mitch and Terri Bishop, previous owners of Auburn Plumbing and Heating, have retired and sold the business to Nathan Davis from Chicago.
Originally named Dahlke Plumbing and Heating, Bishop purchased the business from his father, who’d renamed it Bishop Plumbing and Heating for the brief time that he owned it. Mitch then changed the name to Auburn Plumbing and Heating in 1996. After 29 years of serving southeast Nebraska communities, Bishop is ready to retire, and plans to spend more time with family and traveling. “We really appreciate the support from the community, and hope the new owner sees the same support and success that we had as he takes over.”
The new owner is Nathan Davis. Having grown up in Lincoln, Davis attended school at Lincoln Lutheran and remembers playing football against Auburn in high school. He developed a love for small towns after spending most of his summers in Concord, a village south of Wayne. After high school, Davis earned a bachelors degree in marketing at Azusa Pacific University in California, then went to law school in Minnesota. Following this, he moved to Chicago where he has lived with his wife and two sons for 13 years working as a corporate transaction lawyer.
