Bickel Nelson ALA Meet
The Bickel Nelson American Legion Auxiliary Unit #360 of Cook held their monthly meeting on June 2, at 2 p.m. with seven members present. The colors were posted. President Karen called the meeting to order followed by a prayer, moment of silence, Pledge of Allegiance, singing God Bless America, and the Auxiliary Preamble.
The minutes of the May meeting were read and approved. In absence of the Treasurer, Carolyn reported our Memorial Day dinner was very successful. Approximately 180 people were served. The Poppy collection included $213, which half will be sent to the Department of Nebraska for our Veterans. The Poppy Posters and Americanism winners were presented their awards which totaled $114. In May, Carolyn presented a bill for $113.44 for supplies, a motion was made and pass to pay the bill for the luncheon.
