SCC Awards 1,321 Degrees in May

Southeast Community College awarded 1,321 degrees for the 2025 spring semester which ended Friday, May 16. Spring commencement was Wednesday, May 14, at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. The combined ceremony included the following breakdown for degrees awarded by campus: Beatrice, 80; Lincoln, 772 and Milford, 469. Regional graduates were: Auburn: Blake Allen, associate of applied science in electrical and electromechanical technology, electrical technician; Paige Arena, diploma in practical nursing; Matthew Beard, certificate in electrical electromechanical technology, electromechanical industrial maintenance technician and associate of applied science in electrical and electromechanical technology, electromechanical industrial maintenance technician; Jalen Behrends, associate of applied science in energy generation operations; Melody Billings, certificate in healthcare services; Andrew Brownmiller, certificate in automotive technology and light repair; Rylee Campbell, associate of arts in academic transfer; Jacob Harris, associate of applied science in electronic systems technology; Emma Jones, associate of applied science in baking and pastry, and culinary/hospitality and diplomas in baking and pastry, and culinary and hospitality, culinary arts; Colby McConnaughey, certificate in computer information technology-general and Ethan Phillips, associate of applied science in General Motors automotive service educational program.

Elk Creek: Justin Pierce, certificate in building construction technology, construction process.

Johnson: Lleyton Behrends, certificate in precision agriculture; Lane Buchmeier, associate of applied science in electrical and electromechanical technology, electrical technician; Reily Sohnholz, associate of applied science in John Deere technology; Tristen Sohnholz, certificate in diesel technology, truck maintenance and light repair; Kegan Vice, certificate in building construction technology, construction process and Bryce Westenburg, associate of arts in accounting.
