The financial request from Nemaha County towards District 1 Probation in 2025-2026 will be $6,183.94.
That is $231.30 less than $6,415.24 in the fiscal year which concluded Monday, June 30. Melanie Stormer, district chief probation officer, informed the Nemaha County Commissioners Wednesday morning June 18.
The fiscal responsibility per county is determined by a statutory formula. It is based on 2020 U.S. Census population, the number of investigations completed and the probation cases handled.
