Two Auburn student-instrumentalists participated in the 29th annual Nebraska Masonic All-Star Marching Band in Kearney Tuesday June 3 through Saturday, June 7. Marc Bohling plays the flute and Zack Haynes plays the sousaphone.

“We are thankful for the scholarships they received from our local Masonic Lodge and (Order of the) Eastern Star, which covered all of their registration expenses,” noted Ben Hanika, Auburn Public Schools director of bands. Alpha Chapter No. 325 Order of the Eastern Star and Brownville Chapter No. 263 provided scholarships.

Bohling and Haynes were among 130 students from across Nebraska in the band which performed the halftime show for the Shrine Bowl football game at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) Ron and Carol Cope Stadium on Foster Field.
