In the program’s first season, the Johnson-Brock boys golf team is heading to state after winning the Class D-1 District Tournament at Kirkman’s Cove in Humboldt as the tournament host.
The team has earned their spot at the NSAA Class D State Golf Championship at Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus on Wednesday, May 28 and Thursday, May 29.
Junior Brody Koehler topped the field with a score of 81, claiming an individual district title. Gage Rasmussen shot an 87 on the day to finish ninth, just ahead of Grady Behrends and Tate Hawley, who tied with two other golfers for 10th place with a score of 89 to round out the four individual qualifiers for Johnson-Brock.
