Auburn’s soccer season ended in the second round of the Subdistrict B-4 Tournament after a 13-0 loss to the tournament’s top seed and second rated team in Class B in Lincoln Pius X.
The Bulldogs gave up their first regulation goal of the tournament 1:10 into the game on Saturday, May 3. The Thunderbolts had earned a 3-0 lead in just over three minutes of play.
Auburn’s season-ending loss came just two days after the Bulldogs avenged a 9-2 to Nebraska City, defeating the Pioneers in a 3-2 shootout for their first win of the season and first subdistrict win in program history.
