The Auburn baseball squad won two of their three games last week with Jackson Warner starting at pitcher in wins over Omaha Benson and Omaha Northwest, while Mason Schultz started against Platteview. Not only did the two pitchers rack up strikeouts while at the mound, but they also turned in team-leading performances at the plate to spur the Bulldog offense.
Relief pitchers Christian Gage and Landon Casey have also been major contributors for the Bulldogs on offense. Gage led Auburn with three hits, four runs, and four RBI in a blowout of Omaha Benson, while Casey recorded the team’s second home run of the season with a solo shot against Plattsmouth.
Auburn has won seven of their last 10 games since the start of April to improve to 10-8 on the season and move up to ninth in the Lincoln World Herald Class C ratings.
