The Auburn Board of Public Works (BPW) plans to continue informing Auburn and Peru water customers on the ongoing emergency.
It was reported Wednesday, April 16, well and pumping levels continue to be monitored daily. Levels had dropped the previous week but have rebounded slightly. Levels in four wells remained under six feet, others are maintaining levels while some are increasing levels.
Ray Luhring, general manager, stated the utility’s water crews are aware of the issue. If there is a leak, he said crews have been responsive and quick on repairs as well as contacting customers. Water customers have been making an honest effort to conserve, the general manager continued.
