Bulldog Girls Basketball Team Has Youthful Look This Season

Auburn High School Girls Basketball Team begins play this week with a squad which should learn and improve as the season progresses, according to Head Coach Derek Bissitt, who moved over from the coaching the Bulldog boys to the girls team this year.

Bissitt said, “We have a very young, but talented team. We have a good core group of kids who have spent a lot of time during the off-season improving their game. Allie Binder is a newcomer on the squad. She is a junior who transferred from HTRS. We also return starters Meg Rieschick, Ashley Teten and Mollie Grant.”

The coach said Auburn lost several seniors to graduation after the 2015-2016 team posted a school record for wins 19-6 and played in district finals against Lousiville.
