The Nemaha County Commissioners Wednesday, Nov. 30, approved entering into negotiations with Prochaska & Associates.

The Village of Brownville will host the annual Santa visit for kids and potluck dinner Sunday, December 11 at the Brownville Town Hall. Santa Claus will make an appearance at 6 P.M.

The Auburn Bulldogs opened the 2016-2017 basketball season with a 23-50 loss at Malcolm Saturday, Dec. 3.

Auburn High School wrestlers finished fourth as a team with six medalists in last Saturday’s Bennington Invitational. 

Saturday, Dec. 3, the Auburn Bulldogs opened the season with a 45-31 East Central Nebraska Conference win over Malcolm. It was their first game under new Coach Jim Weeks.


Richard L. Teten, age 86 of Elkhorn, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Elkhorn.

Loree Lynn (Gerdes) Bykerk, 69, of Omaha, Nebraska was born on September 26, 1947, in Nemaha County, Neb. to Harold Thomas and Laura (Behrends) Gerdes.

Genevieve Mae (Ulmer) Young, 94, of Humboldt, Nebraska was the daughter of Nelson H. and Cecelia (Smith) Ulmer. She was born February 8, 1922, at the farm home north of Dawson.
